Troubleshooting Notes
- 403 with HTML response: The identity server or an upstream WAF/CDN is blocking the request. This often happens when Azure datacenter IPs are blocked.
- Different results local vs Azure: Compare the request headers - WAF rules may be checking User-Agent, Origin, or other headers.
- Timeout errors: The identity server may be unreachable from Azure's network, or there's a DNS resolution issue.
- Resolution: Contact the identity server administrator to whitelist Azure App Service outbound IPs, or configure the WAF to allow requests with the specific headers shown above.
